Tracy L. Henderson, Associate

Ms. Henderson is an attorney with AMLG’s Petaluma, California office. Ms. Henderson manages complex litigation and mitigation matters on a national basis for AMLG. She is an experienced trial lawyer who focuses on litigation and trials on the administrative, multi-state, and federal levels in a wide variety of industries. Ms. Henderson has tried many cases and dealt with many litigation matters in her 15 years in the field, which provides AMLG’s diverse mortgage lender, warehouse lender, secondary market investors, and loan servicing clients a solid business partner with risk mitigation experience.

During her last three years as a Senior Associate for AMLG, she has had many successes. During depositions, Ms. Henderson obtained an immediate dismissal from the plaintiff after obtaining an admission that the matter was barred by the statute of limitations. She had seven claims of successor liability dismissed in federal court prior to hearing by proving to the opposition that the evidence was inadmissible. Ms. Henderson is a lead part of a national defense group involved in litigation and is creating precedent in the area of statute of limitations laws in the mortgage lending industry. Finally, she has successfully attacked complaints on the state level with demurrers and motions to dismiss with repeated success and settled matters for under ten cents on the dollar at mediation.

Ms. Henderson apprenticed in law and business from the ground up with a seasoned civil litigator. As a former litigation paralegal for this seasoned forty-five year civil litigator, she sat second chair in complex multi-million dollar litigation and trials. As an attorney, she has acted in a wide variety of legal roles for clients including trial attorney to outside counsel, advisory capacity to c-suite executives, and corporate counsel up to acting general counsel. Ms. Henderson has dealt with regulatory agencies on the state and federal level, including the Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”), on behalf of clients. Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Henderson was a marketing executive for several corporations including Cisco Systems. This experience gives her the business acumen to be a true business enabler to AMLG’s important clientele.

Ms. Henderson received a B.A. in Communications and Public Affairs from California State University, Sacramento, and a J.D. from Monterey College of Law. As an undergraduate student, she studied abroad in England at Oxford Brookes University, and also served a year in the domestic peace corps, AmeriCorps, during undergrad.

Ms. Henderson is licensed to practice law in California, and has been admitted to practice in front of the United States District Courts for the Central and Northern Districts of California. In addition, Ms. Henderson has been admitted and litigated pro hac vice in Ohio and New York.

Ms. Henderson was an on air legal expert for a California television station where she was periodically called on to provide legal expertise on pressing national issues. Now, she has her own weekly Saturday radio show on Powertalk 1460 and 101.1 FM called Hot Topics on the Law – Breaking them Down with attorney Tracy Henderson. She also served on the Board of Directors for Marin Advocates for Children until 2016 and is a former Court Appointed Special Advocate (“CASA”). She is currently seeking her next charity.
